Kathryn Hall, founder and principal of Kathryn Hall, Publicist, is described by nationally syndicated columnist Joyce Lain Kennedy as “one of the nation’s ablest book publicists”. Kathryn has leveraged herself as an individual by dedicating her career, which has spanned over four decades, to making societal changes through the promotion of books that will make a difference, expressed in her well known tagline “Changing the world one book at a time...”

In 1980 Kathryn became Publicity Director of Whatever Publishing, now known internationally as New World Library, where she launched Shakti Gawain’s Creative Visualization. In 1981 she left to start her own Marin County- based company where she promoted such New Age luminaries as Dan Millman, author of Way of the Peaceful Warrior; enneagram expert Helen Palmer and anthropologist Angeles Arrien. In 1987 Kathryn entered graduate school at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco to study Social and Cultural Anthropology, where she served on the Corporate Outreach Committee. This led to a shift in her path, primarily to the promotion of corporate consultants taking new paradigms of leadership, personal development, and creativity into the corporate arena. These important books have included internationally famous executive coach Marshall Goldsmith's What Got You Here Won't Get You There, which hit #1 on Amazon, and was a bestselling business book in the New York Times and Business Week as well as his subsequent books Triggers and Mojo, also both major bestselling books. Kathryn served also as publicist for Wall Street Journal and Business Week bestseller The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann; for Peter Block’s Stewardship, which has sold over 190,000 copies; Margaret Wheatley’s Leadership and the New Science which has sold over 420,000 copies; Bob Waterman’s What America Does Right, and Harvey Mackay’s Pushing the Envelope. These books have had major influences on the way businesses and work are shaped and thought about throughout the world.
Widespread media coverage secured by Kathryn for her titles include placements in NewYork Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Times (London), Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN, “Hour Magazine”, “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, “Good Morning America”, Boston Globe, San Jose Mercury News, Christian Science Monitor, San Diego Union Tribune, Singapore Airlines’ Silver Kris, Copley Wire Service, Fortune, BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Gannett News Services, “New Dimensions Radio”, NPR’s “Talk of the Nation” and a seminal story in the Washington Post on “Spirituality in the Workplace” that featured three of her unique authors.

Kathryn Hall’s secondary education was acquired in New England. She graduated from Kent State University where she received a B.A. in English.
